Volunteer Pitch Advisors
Rugby Groundsmen Connected (RGC) members in Kent, today, become the first in the country to have access to our Volunteer Pitch Advisors (VPAs), Colin Wooster and Martin Maytum. Colin and Martin are experienced, skilled and friendly groundsmen who have been handpicked by Keith Kent for the VPA roles.
They will support clubs in Kent by making visits and providing advice to RGC members, committee volunteers or anyone responsible for pitch maintenance. This support will be to advise on how pitches can be improved in general, in respect of a specific issue that has been encountered or just for a general chat about the world of grass!
They will compile a short report about their visit which will be verified by Keith Kent before being sent on to you. Kent is the first CB in the country to benefit from this scheme which will be nationwide by the end of the season.
Access to VPAs is completely free and is exclusive to clubs that have someone registered with Rugby Groundsmen Connected – all you have to do is drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting a visit and we’ll do the rest. Colin or Martin will then make contact to agree a mutually convenient time for the visit.
We’re all keen to get started so don’t be afraid to get in touch to arrange a visit asap!
