
Medway Rugby Football Club is looking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Coach to deliver its ambitious growth plans over the coming seasons.
Purpose of Role
To provide leadership of Senior Men’s coaching resources and the coaching of individuals to achieve success on and off field, and to lead the club’s player growth and retention strategy.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Develop the skills of the players through effective coaching sessions.
Plan and present a structured programme of coaching for the season.
Ensure all coaching sessions are effectively led.
Leadership of coaching group at Team Selection.
Attendance at all match days.
Attend coaching/committee meetings as appropriate.
Develop and lead an effective strategy to attract and retain players.
Develop and lead an effective strategy to attract and recruit players.
Work with Club Coaching Co-ordinator ensuring development of youth and senior coaches through CPD.
Key Attributes
This role suits a coach who has already coached at National League level who has a track record in delivering the responsibilities outlined above.
We are ideally looking for a Level 3 coaching qualification and happy to support with future coaching development qualifications.
As Medway RFC does pay its players, the successful applicant must be comfortable working within a semi-professional environment and working with club volunteers deliver its ambitious growth plans over the coming seasons.
Remuneration for the role is negotiable dependant on relevant experience. We are looking for the successful applicant to be available from the start of May 2023 to prepare for the 2023/24 season, although happy to consider an earlier joining date if available sooner.
