Southwark Rugby require a Head Coach.

Head Coach

Southwark Rugby is one of only a handful of inner-London clubs serving a large and diverse community. With no current clubhouse, the senior section was founded in 2008 and has experienced considerable success in its short history, rising from Kent leagues 5 to London 3. Next year, we will be in Counties Kent 2.

We are seeking a Head Coach who can provide the knowledge, enthusiasm and capability to push our club forward to the next level of development. Apart from the usual cycle of seniors’ rugby (Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays), we want a coach to drive our program of schools’ engagement, each week. The salary reflects this.

Our location just outside of Elephant and Castle provides the club with a steady stream of talented players with 30 + at training and the ability to field 3 men’s teams every weekend.  We are awaiting delivery of a flood-lit, artificial, rugby-ready pitch alongside the retention of our existing grass pitch the club is preparing to become Central London’s rugby hub.

  • Spot and develop raw talent.
  • Have the final say on team selection each week.
  • Attend all 1st XV matches, providing team warm-up and strategic decision making during the match.
  • Improve seasonal training attendance, make it fun, challenging and beneficial to all.
