Expression of Interest to Host a Kent County Mini Festival

The 43rd Kent County RFU Mini Rugby Festival will be held on Sunday 29th March 2026. Due to the ongoing success of the festival and it’s popularity, the Kent County RFU Mini Chairperson, Dawn Waters is looking for ten hosts to work with her, and the KCRFU Mini Committee to deliver the highest standard of festival for the five mini age groups as follows:-

Please note that all figures above are estimated using previous seasons figures. Some venues can prove more popular than others, but the Kent Mini Chairperson will work with all successful hosts and will not expect them to host beyond their capacity and that all host clubs will need to have extra pitches set up for any emergency needs should a game or games needing to be moved to another pitch. These additional pitches have been included in the figures above.

Each host club will need to provide adequate parking that suits all weathers or includes a wet weather plan if necessary. This will need to accommodate between 150 and 500 cars depending on the age group that they are hosting. They will also be required to provide suitable accommodation for the Kent appointed First aid Team.

Host Clubs will also be required to send a representative, who is a key member of the clubs festival team, to all KCRFU Mini Festival meetings which will be held monthly from November 2025 to March 2026.

The host club is responsible for all KCRFU Mini stock that is issued for the festival, to ensure that every attending player receives their medal and memorabilia as required, and also will need to return any unused stock when attending the debrief meeting after the event (date tbc).

The deadline to apply to host a KCRFU Mini Festival is September 22nd 2025.

Club Official Approval

All online applications must be approved by an elected official of the applicant club. This should be either the Chair, Hon. Secretary or Youth Chair. The individual completing the application (e.g. tour leader) should not also be the official approving it.
