Game Management System (GMS)

What is GMS?

The Game Management System (GMS) is the central source of participation information throughout the game of rugby in England. Provided by the RFU, it contains a host of useful and evolving features to support the administration and development of the game.

Why use GMS?

  • Manage your people – A database of all individuals at your club, including: players, coaches, volunteers and parents. Keep all your club contacts up-to-date and manage key volunteer roles and DBS checks. Please note: all clubs must use GMS to register their players
  • Communication – Use the in-built messaging tool to collect subscriptions, keep your contacts engaged in club activities, and reach out to lapsed players and members
  • Sell your memberships and events online – Use the GMS payment gateway to sell your membership schemes, products and events online. The system supports direct debit and card payments with a low fixed fee of 1.95%
  • See the big picture – View dashboards to see a full picture of your players, coaches and facilities to identify ways in which your club can act to become more successful and sustainable. With this data in great shape, you are in the best place to receive support from the RFU.
  • Free club website – Create your own free club website which pulls data directly from your contacts, fixtures and results in GMS. Easy to set up and manage, it’s a great way to promote the club, teams and sponsors.

Important administration tools

  • Fixtures, results, competitions – Record your activities in competitions at all levels, from the Premiership to merit tables and youth rugby

  • Safeguarding – Everything you need to keep on top of DBS responsibilities.
  • Filters / Export / Bulk Upload / Reporting – A tool to help you manage and update your club data.
