The Assessment Day for players wishing to participate in the Kent U16 Girls England Rugby Developing Player Pathway (ERDPP) will take place on Sunday 6 August at Aylesford Bulls RFC. Players will meet at 10:00 am for registration, with the assessment taking part between 10.30-12.30.
Girls currently in school years 9 and 10 (who will be in school years 10 and 11 from September 2023) are invited to self-nominate, via their parents, to take part in the assessment day using the nominations form below. All players wishing to participate must complete the form, even if you registered to attend the “Getting to know us” event previously.
The ERDPP is an additional training program, on top of Club or School training, for players who have the potential and ambition to progress further in their rugby. Players selected for the ERDPP will attend 12 training sessions over the course of the season and participate in at least one playing opportunity as part of the Kent squad.
The format of the day will be similar to the “Getting to know us” event held on Sunday 2 July, with players taking part in a warm up followed by a series of games and exercises. Players who could not attend the “Getting to know us” event are still very welcome to attend the assessment day. Players will be assessed for their suitability for the ERDPP and will be notified after the event if they will be invited to join the program. For players not selected to participate, we will endeavour to provide feedback which they can work on with their club or school coaches.
This is a self-nomination process, so coach nomination is not required. Club and school coaches are welcome to attend and observe the session, as are parents. There will be refreshments available to purchase from the Aylesford clubhouse.
Parents are asked to register their daughters using the linked form. All registrations must be completed by Sunday 23 July.
