Kent Rugby Senior Men begin the defence of their Bill Beaumont County Championship title on Saturday 23rd May 2026 with a challenging trip to Camborne RFC to face Cornwall, kick-off 2pm.
After securing the County Championship title for three consecutive seasons, Kent once again enter the competition with high expectations, although this year’s campaign brings a fresh look and a new challenge for the squad.
With club rugby play-offs taking place on the same weekend, player availability across the county has been affected, meaning this season’s group has a different balance to previous years. That said, the squad still contains quality, experience and exciting talent from across Kent rugby, giving a number of players the opportunity to step onto the county stage.
Opening away in Cornwall is never an easy assignment. Camborne is one of the traditional strongholds of county rugby and Kent will expect a passionate atmosphere against proud opposition determined to make their mark in this year’s competition.
While there are some new combinations within the Kent side, county rugby has consistently shown the depth of talent across the game in the county, and the squad will travel with determination as they begin another championship campaign.
Supporters making the journey can look forward to a competitive and hard-fought encounter between two counties with strong rugby traditions.
