Course Format
The course is delivered via a blend of face to face, eLearning, webinar, video upload and mentoring support. Coaches are required to maintain an evidence portfolio throughout the year.
Course Assessment
The Level 3 Coaching Award is a competency-based assessment course. You may not meet all of the course competencies on completion of the 12-month study programme. If this is the case you will have a further 12 months to demonstrate any outstanding competencies. Should you wish to do this you will be allocated a mentor to support your work towards completion, but this will incur an additional cost of up to £250 depending on the level of support required.
Coaching Role
The course involves a season-long programme of mentoring support. An RFU trained mentor will be assigned to you and will observe you through face to face and via video uploads during the season. You cannot complete the required work if you do not have an active coaching role for the season.
