It has come to our attention that some grounds have this week experienced an ‘invasion’ of Travelling People, along with their caravans, trailers etc.

It is advised to be extra-vigilant for the next couple of months or so. If your gates are open, travellers deem to have a ‘right’ to enter and occupy the site, until they are served a Section 61 Notice to Quit (which gives them some 3 days to leave). Furthermore, if there is evidence of anyone forcing entry to any grounds, it is incumbent on the owners to prove that any gates were properly locked in the first place!
