WRWC 2025: OPPORTUNITY FOR A ‘RED ROSE’ TO VISIT YOUR CLUB

Next year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup will provide a golden opportunity to grow the women’s and girls’ grassroots game not only in Kent but across the country.

To achieve this, the RFU is developing an exciting programme which links each ‘Red Rose’ to two community clubs, the first of which will be to each player’s own first community club. In Kent, we are fortunate to have been linked with Rosie Galligan (Saracens), whose first club was Aylesford Bulls RFC.

The Red Roses will have a busy schedule in the lead up to next year’s Rugby World Cup, but the intention is for them to make as many appearances as possible at their respective community clubs.  There will be more opportunities for clubs to benefit from a Red Rose appearance when the list of second clubs is confirmed by the RFU later in the season. We will share more information on this in due course, when we received it.

In addition to this programme, we also suggest that clubs contact their local PWR club to enquire about potential player appearances.
