KCRFU approval must be granted before any individual plays out of age-grade. A lack of a response to any application must not be deemed to be silent consent to the application. Unless you have received written approval from the KCRFU, the individual for whom the application has been made must not play up or down, out of age grade.

Playing down will only be considered if there is significant reason to do so as determined by the reasons contained within Clause 15.4 of Regulation 15.
The priority is always for age grade players to play in their defined age/year group, with their peers/friends and where those that support them are most closely connected. Playing out of age grade is the exception. For any player to do so, the circumstances, conditions, assessments and approvals required in regulation must be in place beforehand. The ultimate consideration must be the welfare and safety of all the players involved

Clubs must ensure that, for any U16 playing into Colts, parents /guardians understand that the players could, if approved, be playing with U19s playing down (as per Regs and guidance). U16’s may NOT play in the front row of a Colts team
For playing up, if a player is closer to their own age group than that of the age group above they will not be approved (i.e. young players in their age group).
That ‘representative’ means county, divisional or national teams, only.
Applications will not be considered until the individual who has parental responsibility for the player has given their approval.
Details of the player assessment MUST be appended as a separate document to the application (uploaded under Additional Information) covering everything required by the Code of Practice (Code of Practice here). The reasoning should be:
