Kent U20

Team Updates And Information

Kent competes in the top tier of the Jason Leonard Under 20 National Championship. In recent years the County has been consistently successful and have reached every quarter final, 3 semi finals and one final in the last 11 years. They are currently in the top eight in the country.

We do not hold trials for this group but receive coaches recommendations. We also have a scouting system and also follow those players who have come through the age groups.

“It is with regret that we have to announce that the RFU Competitions Committee have turned down numerous requests to amend the new regulations for the Jason Leonard Under 20 County Championship. This means that any players registered at Kent’s level 3 and 4 clubs Blackheath FC, Tonbridge Juddians RFC, Canterbury RFC and Sevenoaks RFC will be ineligible to represent Kent. We believe this goes against the spirit of Rugby and will continue to canvass for a change to next season’s competition.”
