Kent Women

Team Updates and Information

The Women’s game has strong ties with Kent and as a County, we have always strived to put out the best women’s team in the county. We hold trials every year with a dedicated training programme for those selected. County coaches are appointed based on their expertise, experience, and commitment to the Women’s game. We are always welcome to hear from any level 2/3 coaches who wish to be involved in coaching women.

Traditionally the county programme starts in the January of each season and provides the team with 3 matches,  with the possibility to qualify for the knockout rounds. For further details about the Women’s team contact the Women & GirlsDevelopment Manager: women-girls-rugby@kent-rugby.org

 19-20 Programme

Head Coach: Nathan Morris

Manager: Claire Bernthal  – kent-womens-manager@kent-rugby.org

This year Kent Women have high expectations to reach Twickenham in the County Championship. With a newly bolstered coaching team full of RFU Level 2 and 3 coaches, it is the perfect opportunity for players to push themselves in a new environment. We have 5 open development sessions where any serious rugby players are welcome to test themselves against the best in the county and hopefully learn a thing or two. The programme this year moves all across the county so there is no excuse not to make yourself available. We hope to see as many new faces as possible in our quest to be the best county in England.

Due to COVID-19 the Senior Women’s 2019-2020 campaign was cancelled.
