Kent Women

Team Updates And Information

The Women’s game has strong ties with Kent and as a County, we have always strived to put out the best women’s team in the county. Past players to represent the county include current premiership players Shaunagh Brown, Flo
Williams, Georgia Gray and Sharifa Kasolo.  Players are selected by a scouting method (see policy here). County coaches are appointed based on their expertise, experience, and commitment to the Women’s game.

With a growing community of female rugby players within the county, we are proud of having the opportunity to celebrate and promote our wonderful game. We continually strive to improve the quality of the rugby as a squad and county, encouraging county players to back the skills and game play they learn to their home clubs. The squad are an inclusive family of players from all over the county and are supported by a wide base of friends and family from clubs far and wide – something which has been really evident at home fixtures with wonderful crowds and supporters.

Kent are in the process of putting together an U20 team, The squad will be drawn from those players of the previous 2 years of County under 18 players who are now eligible for the age group. We also seek nominations from Club coaches who feel they have players of the required quality,  but who have missed out on county selection previously.
